  1. Peel and mince the garlic into tiny pieces. Deep fry in the 1/2 cup of oil till just golden. Take out immediately and strain. Set aside.
  2. In a wok, add the 2 tbsps of oil. Put in one layer of rice and add a dash of the soy sauce and vinegar and 1/4th of the fried garlic. Stir well on a medium-high flame.
  3. Repeat this process till all the rice is stirred through and the soy sauce and vinegar are over.
  4. Adjust the seasoning. Top with the last 1/4th portion of the fried garlic and serve hot with any Chinese style gravy.
